ARMA Vancouver Chapter Hosts ‘First Nations Records and Information Symposia’

    Apr 11, 2017

In collaboration with various First Nation organizations, the ARMA Vancouver Chapter is hosting the second annual First Nations RIM Symposia on April 11-12 in Whitehorse and on June 5-6 in Vancouver.

The purpose of the symposia is to deliver RIM education, training, and support for First Nations organizations in British Columbia and the Yukon. ARMA International CEO Jocelyn Gunter will open the main program with a keynote speech.

The program includes two half-day pre-conferences: a records management boot camp and a case study on shared drive restructure. Topics in the main program include archives and preservation; planning for an electronic RIM system; building a records classification scheme; and freedom of information and protection of privacy programs.
