LEAD THE WORK. INFLUENCE THE DECISIONS.

Your technical expertise has helped you advance in IG and RIM. Greater responsibility asks you to communicate priorities, secure stakeholder support, think strategically, and guide people through change.

You may manage a team or lead a cross-functional project. Leadership also means influencing decisions and moving work forward when you have no formal authority. Cohort 2 gives you time to practice these skills in your own workplace.

Do I need to manage people to participate?

You can lead IG and RIM work through projects, stakeholder relationships, and organizational change, even when you have no direct reports. The program is designed for experienced practitioners taking on greater responsibility, including new managers, established managers, and professionals who lead through influence.

How will I use what I learn at work?

You will combine focused self-guided learning with live cohort sessions and practical workplace application. The nine-month format gives you time to try leadership concepts in real situations, discuss your experience with peers, and build on that learning through reflection and reinforcement over time.

Do I need to be an ARMA member?

No. The Professional Leadership Course is open to both ARMA members and nonmembers.

However, ARMA members receive discounted course pricing. The member rate is $1,449, compared with $1,749 for nonmembers. An annual ARMA membership is $210, which means a nonmember could purchase both an annual membership and the course for $1,659—still saving $90 compared with the nonmember course rate alone.

Plus, you’ll receive all the additional benefits of ARMA membership for the year.

Participating in the inaugural cohort was a rewarding experience. The course provided useful leadership frameworks, thoughtful discussions, and resources that will continue to support my professional growth. While there was a substantial amount of content, I left with new perspectives and ideas that I look forward to exploring further
