The Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) and the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA International), two leading organizations dedicated to the advancement of information management, are excited to announce a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the practices and professional standards for managing and governing health information and records.
This collaboration brings together CHIMA’s expertise in health information management and ARMA’s leadership in records and information governance, creating a powerful alliance to foster innovation, education, and best practices in the field of health information management.
Both organizations will work closely to provide educational programs, certifications, and resources to support professionals in the evolving landscape of health information management and governance. The partnership aims to align health information governance best practices, setting industry standards that promote the ethical, secure, and effective management of healthcare data across Canada and beyond.
The partnership will kick off in 2025 with ARMA International and CHIMA providing thought leadership at each others' respective events, such as the upcoming ARMA Canada Information Conference 2025 hosted in Montreal, QC where CHIMA will be delivering three sessions in the agenda.
